I run Solomon Strategic, a firm I founded in 1999 to provide marketing counsel to advertising agencies, client companies, and individual marketing professionals. Trained as a direct marketer who embraced Digital early on, I am known for my expertise as a brand strategist and new business developer. I am an expert speaker and workshop leader who also is certified as an organizational and executive coach, particularly skilled in job search.
I’ve handled a wide range of consulting assignments, in both offline and online media, for more than a score of clients, including Ammirati Puris Lintas, Blitz, BoomBox, Brandmuscle, Chase Insurance, Cognitive Arts, Condé Nast, Digitas Health Lifebrands, Deep Focus, Draft Worldwide, Ferrara & Company, Hadley Exhibits, IMG Live, Initiative Media North America, PALAZZO | Investment Bankers, PCR, PMG Digital, Procurian, R/GA, Saatchi & Saatchi X, Sotheby’s, and Womenkind.
I previously was President of Direct and Interactive Marketing at legendary agency Ammirati Puris Lintas, General Manager of the superb shop FCB Direct West, and Senior Vice President and “Associate Partner” of Bronner Slosberg Associates, now known as the groundbreaking firm Digitas.
I’ve conducted workshops and given talks on client service, direct marketing, discipline integration, agency search, and related topics for a wide range of organizations, including the Association of National Advertisers, Columbia University, the Direct Marketing Association, the Direct Marketing Educational Foundation, DM Days, DMIX, Mercedes-Benz, Messner, Omnicom, The Society of Digital Agencies (SoDA), and Thought Legion.

I have a master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My undergraduate degree is from George Washington University, in Washington, DC, where I graduated with honors, and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. I have a certificate in Organizational and Executive Coaching from New York University’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
A refugee from New York, I now live in Napa, California with my wife Roberta, and with the world’s best dogs, Alvin and Sophie.
